Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your use of SM Text, a web-based virtual phone service providing United States virtual numbers for SMS and voice. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

SM Text is intended for lawful business and personal communication. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of your registration information, for safeguarding your credentials, and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, applicable law, or carrier regulations.

3. Numbers and rental terms

All numbers are US-based and rented monthly. Every number is a paid product; SM Text does not offer free numbers or free trials.

Rental renewals are drawn from your prepaid balance on each renewal date. If auto-renew is disabled or your balance is insufficient, the number enters a grace period and may be released and reassigned afterward.

You do not own the number. Numbers remain the property of the underlying carrier. Porting availability may be limited.

4. Payments

SM Text accepts cryptocurrency payments only (currently BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC). Credit is added after the network confirmations required for the asset.

All usage — setup fees, monthly rentals, outbound SMS, and voice minutes — is drawn from your prepaid balance. You can never spend beyond your balance.

Quoted asset amounts are locked at payment creation. If the network amount received differs materially from the quote, credit is adjusted to the received value.

5. Refunds

Prepaid credit is refundable on request within 30 days of deposit if it has not been spent, minus network costs. Spent credit is non-refundable.

If a number cannot be provisioned after confirmed payment, the rental and setup amounts are returned to your balance.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use SM Text for unlawful, harassing, fraudulent, or deceptive communication; for unsolicited bulk messaging; to infringe others' rights; or to circumvent carrier or third-party restrictions.

We may throttle or block traffic that endangers carrier relationships or other customers.

7. Service availability

We target high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Delivery of SMS and voice calls depends on carriers and networks outside our control.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SM Text's aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the dashboard. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
